AL-Zaafaran Steel Art
Al-zaafaran is a small, family run business specialising in world-class handcrafted solid iron and metal curtain poles, accessories and homeware. Our products have both classic and contemporary aspects, both time-tested and more than stylish, and are made to a standard second to none.
The company was founded in 1998 by Ahmed Abdul Halim Khafaga and his sons. Ahmed Khafaga his expert blacksmith’s skills to specialise in exceptional ironwork for the home. Our passion for the very highest quality is our continued inspiration to produce practical and attractive products that will last a lifetime. Individual hammer marks visible on the metalwork made by our blacksmiths’ hammers make every item unique.
We supply to a growing clientele including top interior designers and some very important individuals. We believe everyone is important to us, which is why our customer service is at the highest standard – just like our products. We offer a personal, friendly service and will make every effort to make sure the pieces made for you are perfect for your own interior spaces.
For the home, we’ve developed a classic range of products, all of which are hand forged in the time honoured way. They include wrought iron pan rails, utensil racks for the kitchen, wrought iron curtain poles, brackets and hold backs for window dressing.
I proud to say that all our components are sustainable and that our products are made exclusively in our forge. Our personal and business ethos is self-sufficiency and we make every effort to offset our carbon dioxide emissions. What makes the company unique is its pledge to plant a tree for every order received. We make sure that what the company takes from the environment, it puts back into the environment.
